Auckland based designer Ted Synnott engaged my services to create a flexible brand identity for his emerging furniture and interior design work in early 2019. Upon viewing Ted’s work, and understanding his creative output and vision, we came to frame his product with litte embellishments, favouring a Swiss International-style approach, taking gridwork and strong structure from his pieces onto the page.
Alongside a clean wordmark utilising a tweaked Swiss Int’l care of Swiss Typefaces, a set style for technical diagrams and measurements tables was introduced that provided key information in a concise manner. These diagrams and tables also lend themselves to a striking marketing identity, ready to be used for everything from materials lists, order forms to wayfinding and signage.
